But my point is that the character portrayed reflects a completely different psychopathology. The antagonist – master demonstrates a comorbidity of autism spectrum disorder with a strong tendency toward schizoid personality disorder. The protagonist has a diffuse ego. The antagonist practically wasted his time in this connection, while his slave - the protagonist — grew as a personality and literally used his master to grow. It’s a story about two people who fit each other at a specific moment in life like a key and a lock… and then both of them changed — and the lock simply stopped matching. To me, this is not a story about abuse, although it looks like it. Why Ray( antagonist) is NOT a narcissist: 🌶️No grandiosity at all. He doesn’t try to be above others, doesn’t aim to lead, doesn’t position himself as “the main one.” He’s just one of the dominants in his biker group. 🌶️ Zero need for attention. His bike is explicitly shown as completely default (the dad voices it). No decorations, no “I’m special” signals. Just a no-name, average bike. That detail matters. 🌶️No emotional manipulation cycle. No idealization → devaluation → humiliation → love bombing loop. He doesn’t emotionally destabilize his partner at all. 🌶️ Power is not pleasure. For a narcissist, power is a source of enjoyment. Here, it’s just rules to maintain distance. No visible pleasure in control. 🌶️ No symbolic self-expression in space. His house is minimal, functional. No decorative objects expressing identity. Piano doesn’t count, it’s functional. A narcissist always leaves traces of “I am not like everyone else.” 🌶️ He can yield. When his partner wants to sleep in the bed, he explodes but doesn’t punish him next day. He processes it overnight and agrees to do what his sub wants. For a narcissist, yielding feels like death. 🌶️ No need for admiration. He doesn’t seek praise or validation. For a narcissist, admiration is like oxygen. 🌶️ He does not exploit his slave. He provides housing, care, sex, clothes, and accessories. He doesn’t extract benefit or try to “capture” the partner. If anything, he accommodates him. 🌶️ A narcissist needs a bit of distance, but they are the most social, charming people, virtuosos. This is their main tool to obtain control, but there is not a single sign of using this arm at all Why does he show autistic spectrum traits (but not purely): 🦇 Rules and rituals. They create structure and protect from chaos. This is consistent with the spectrum. 🦇 System over emotion. Interaction is built around rules, not emotional exchange. 🦇 “Doctor mode” response. When the partner burns his hand, he doesn’t just help - he switches into full functional care mode for an entire day. Task-focused response. 🦇 Emotion exists, but is expressed differently. Tattoos of his dogs’ names - clear deep attachment, but in a non-typical form. A pure schizoid would just rather bury dogs and tend to forget.
